Our Graduates
Originally from Plymouth, Andrew Girdler is a graphic designer based in Brighton, currently working for the eco-conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak. He completed his Extended Diploma in Graphic Design at Arts University Plymouth's Pre-Degree campus in 2015 before studying BA (Hons) Music Production at Brighton’s BIMM. Andrew's role at Lucy & Yak involves creating assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and clothing graphics, pushing him to deepen his expertise in creative software.
Alongside his professional work, Andrew is also the frontman for Brighton-based psych-rock band Tunnel Visions and has previously freelanced as a graphic designer.
Pablo Jones-Soler is a visual artist now based in London and is one half of the directing duo Bradley&Pablo. Pablo studied a National Diploma in Graphic Design and Illustration, achieving a Distinction in 2010 before studying at Camberwell College of Art where he met his future business partner Bradley.Bradley&Pablo made their first music video ‘Hey QT’ by QT in 2015, which received widespread critical acclaim and became the first in a series of collaborations with the influential PC Music label and Charli XCX. Bradley&Pablo have since become highly sought out by major artists, including Harry Styles, Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa, Rosalia, Kanye West and Cardi B. Their music video for ‘Silk City’ featuring Diplo, Dua Lipa and Mark Ronson, was nominated for an MTV Music Video Award.
Adan Currey studied our Extended Diploma in Graphic Design & Illustration course in 2013, successfully achieving a Triple Distinction.After completing the course, Adan progressed onto university and then straight into employment within the games industry. Currently working as Lead Lighting Artist at Playground Games, the studio behind the Forza Horizon series, Adan contributed to their recent BAFTA success, winning Best British Game in 2019.
Oliver Brooks is a multidisciplinary designer who creates powerful and innovative designs. He has worked with notable names such as Google, Rolling Loud, Yuri Suzuki, Hamamatsu Japan, Tobias van Schneider, Roland, KNVB and Observ.Oliver completed a ED in Graphics, Illustration and Game Arts, where he achieved a Distinction and was the recipient of the university’s Design Aesthetic Award for Most Outstanding Student. After completing his studies, Oliver beat nearly two thousand other applicants to secure an internship as a Graphic Designer working with Sound Designer Yuri Suzuki at the world’s largest independent design agencies, Pentagram.
Jack achieved his Foundation Diploma in Design for Games in 2012 with a Distinction. After graduating, he went straight into industry, working as a Concept Artist for Oxford based Rebellion Developments.
Today, Jack works for Playground Games as a Senior Concept Artist working on the popular video game series Fable. He has also returned to Arts University Plymouth as part of the alumni mentoring scheme.
Steve Cronin studied a Foundation Diploma in Design for Games, graduating in 2010. Steve has since gone on to work as a Character Artist for multiple games studios and companies including the UK based indie game studio Remode and Dambuster Studios, responsible for the Dead Island video game franchise.
Since 2016, Steve has worked as a Character Artist for the Sega-owned games studio Creative Assembly, responsible for the Total War series, Halo Wars 2 and Alien: Isolation.
