Joanne Anning
CEO Jeremiah’s Journey & Honorary Fellow (2012)

Jeremiah’s Journey is a registered charity that offers support to children and their families who have experienced or are anticipating the death of a loved one. In 2012, Arts University Plymouth (then Plymouth College of Art) awarded the founder Joanne Anning an honorary fellowship in recognition of her commitment to collaborative working and the vital role she has played in supporting young people through traumatic circumstances in Plymouth and the surrounding area.

Arts University Plymouth has worked in partnership with Jeremiah’s Journey since September 2011, providing a safe space to talk about difficult life experiences. Over the years, academic staff have donated their time to provide specialist creative input and tuition, and in August 2012 the charity moved their therapeutic rooms to our campus. Reflecting on her impact in the local community Joanne said “It is truly satisfying that we can achieve this through continuing a partnership with an organisation who clearly show the same commitment and enthusiasm for nurturing young lives. We are truly proud to be honorary fellows of Arts University Plymouth.”
